- If you are registered at our practice and require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements
This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. There is information about countries and vaccinations required on the link below.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible – 6 to 8 weeks before you travel – as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work. Please be aware there will be a charge for certain travel vaccinations.
You’ll have to pay for travel vaccinations against:
- hepatitis B
- Japanese encephalitis
- meningitis
- rabies
- tick-borne encephalitis
- tuberculosis (TB)
- yellow fever
Step by Step guide:
- You should contact the surgery for your 1st appointment 6 to 8 weeks before departure, complete a Travel Health Risk Assessment online form below for yourself, after completion this form will be submitted electronically to the surgery. Please make sure you inform the surgery you have completed the form when you book your 1st appointment.

- One Form for each patient travelling and one appointment for each patient travelling.
If we cannot offer you an appointment due to the demand in service or you do not have enough time before travel we will advise you to seek private advice and vaccination.
Yellow Fever
If you are not registered at our practice and require yellow fever vaccination, please ring to book an appointment for this, there will be a charge for this service. Please arrange any other required vaccinations at your own surgery.
